Not sure if you can tell from this
picture how
cool this place was. After setting up camp, we hiked down the Tuolumne river late one
afternoon and stopped here, when the sun started getting low in the sky. It lit
up the surrounding mountains across the river. A warm, gentle breeze blew upriver,
from your right to left, stirring the water slightly - which continually
changed the reflection of the mountains and trees.
Felt both spiritual and psychedelic
.. like God Himself was walking up the river. We spent 30 minutes in this one spot. Nobody
said a word. You
could hear the breeze rustling the leaves. For these reasons, thins is one
of my favorite places on the planet. You could scatter my ashes here.
Wendy had her DV camcorder with her and got some footage here. Magical.
