Title: Resize partition or change the computer name
Post by rulirahm on Jun 3rd, 2007 at 4:53am
If I change my computer name after running My Computer Backup (Ghost 12), when restore it, the old name will be appear, right?

What if I resize the partition? Whether Ghost 12 will use the new partition size or the old one?

1. right. it will revert back to the way it was when you created the image.

2. it will use the partition size of the destination, long as it can fit the data in to the space given.

normally, we maked partitions bigger, not smaller, so this is usually not a problem.

just to avoid confusion, i would make another image after changing the size on my partition, and only change partition size if absolutely necessary.

I ever got error while trying to restore image with Ghost 10 (XP). The error something about registry rev. But I'm not sure maybe because of the partition or the drive structure.
