Safe Mode Question

I wanted to uninstall & re-install a printer. I tried to uninstall the printer program with the printer program uninstall utility, from the programs menu on the Windows Desktop. It refused to uninstall the software. Can I try to uninstall software in the safe mode? I know that certain drivers, tsr's, etc. don't load. I haven't tried this- has anyone else tried this, and will it work? I also tried to first re-install Windows 98. When it got to "Preparing Setup" it seemed to freeze up. I couldn't re-install Windows either. I wanted to at least try to get the printer working on this system. It seems to have many other problems.

I don't use Win98, so I'm not sure this applies to your system? But have you tried going to "Printers" in your Control Panel, and just right-click on the printer you want to remove and choose "delete"? Adding a new printer should be done within the same area.
Cheers,
Rene
