Ghost questions

I have couple of questions about Norton Ghost
1. I have created an image of a partition of my HD which contained about 30Gig of data, the resulting image was around 20Gig in size is this normal I thought it would have been alot smaller?
2. When I use Ghost Explorer to browse my image file my own 'My Documents' folder on the image is empty, why is this when my wifes 'My Documents' folder shows all the files.
3. My Ghost image consists of about 10 ghost spanned files all around 2.2Gig in size, is there any way I can make it just one file or does Ghost always span at 2.2Gig.
Sorry for so many questions but if anybody can help with any of them it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

#2 .. not sure. some ppl move "my docs' to another drive to minimize the effects of restoring an image. see the last part of this page:
http://ghost.radified.com/ghost_1a.htm
if you haven't done this, maybe ghost stores the files separately from the directory. to be honest, i never played with g-explorer.
#3 - such a big image is bad .. i mean, you're wasting space. and the bigger the image is, the greater the chance of corruption. i have *tons* of software installed and my images are not much bigger than 3 gigs. you only want windows and prgms on your boot drive. no games, mp3s, wav's, vdo, pr0n, etc. that should all go somewhere else.
the 2-gig file size limit is a limitation od DOS, not ghost .. read step #1 here:

I have found 'my documents' folder so thanks for that.
Asfor my image size however I don't see how you can get it as small as 2Gig, what about all your Office,Dreamweaver,Photoshop etc applications, do you include these in the image?

Yeah, I have all those.
I didn't say 2 gigs.
I said, not much bigger than 3 gigs.

sorry typing mistake, this means your boot drive must be about 6-7Gig at the most, correct?
