Okay...winat is a command line 'scheduling' service for WinNT that also has a gui to make it easier to use:
http://www.silentrunningsoftware.com/continuouscontact/downloads/winat.pdf
You can find Ghost 2003 switches here:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost.nsf/8f7dc138830563c888256c2200662ecd/...
You can find batch file examples to 'automate' Ghosting using Ghost's syntax here:
http://ghost.radified.com/ghost_4.htm
More Ghost syntax examples are here:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost.nsf/8f7dc138830563c888256c2200662ecd/...
Sorry, I have no personal experience doing these things, so cant help with the actual details. You might be able to contact the folks who developed the batch files if you get stuck and have questions.

thanks owl....but that's the problem i'm having....i don't understand how or which switches to use to accomplish my task...nor am i sophisticated enough in my understanding of batch files to use that route either...what i want to do is image my entire c drive to a firewire dvd drive using ghost command line commands/switches...i know it can be done...i just don't know how to do it...
thanks again...
