Run Batch File at Logout/Shutdown

I am seeking to run a batch (.BAT) file at logout (or shutdown) from Windows XP. What’s the best way to accomplish this?
Thank you for your assistance.

Well, I don't believe that the answer the question is dependent upon the selection of commands within the .BAT file, but - if you're curious - I simply want to execute a .BAT file containing a command similar to "DIR *.* /S > FILES.TXT" to produce a file listing.

You are correct. I am simply curious.
