second drive (sata) and multimedia question
Dec 14th, 2004 at 7:36pm

I am a newbie to multie-media and need some advise.  I have a dazzle120 a/d converter via usb with pinnacle 9 software.  I have recently installed a second drive (seagate 200G sata) with my primary being a p-ide (with xp loaded there).

I plan to load my video to my sata drive.  Should I also load my pinnalce software to this drive for editing. (any benefit)

thanks.

no, just load your editing software to the same place where you normally load your other software. if you had a third disk, you could load audio there, along with selecting it as your scratch disk for preview/temp files. depending on how you edit, just about any performance improvements will make for a better editing experience, including more ram, faster processor, etc.
