Rt Click 'My Computer/Properties/Hardware Tab/Device Manager.

At the bottom of the list, 'Universal Serial Bus controllers'--any problems listed there?

No question is stupid...but, possibly the answers are  Wink !

I opened device manager because my wireless usb mouse quit..and naturally I went to device manager to check for errors.......
after my new install, I had the yellow exclamations here and there mostly just wanting their driver to be installed but this would have to be a booger

uninstall drivers- windows reinstalls=no more  prob.

A-OK!! ALL BETTER! THANKS i AM YELLING
