Norton 7.5 enterprise and sysprep
Dec 27th, 2005 at 12:47am

I am a school teacher who has to setup a lab of 40 Dell Optiplex GX620s with Windows XP..no server. I do have Norton Ghost 7.5 enterprise. All The dells are new and were "imaged" at Dell I assume with XP pro. I setup an older workstation to do Ghostcasting and created an image on one of the machines with all the software we use. I also did sysprep after I prepared the image.  I uploaded the image to the ghostcasting machine; Once the ghosting is complete there is one problem: everytime I restart a ghosted machine it requires that I add the License # off the top of the CPU. Is there anyway around this? It seems dumb to make software that is meant to make you not have to make modification to every station but I have to go around an retype all these seperate key codes....am I doing this right?

tom,

saw your other post in the low rad board:

i don't think many here have experience with sysprep.

i did a search for sysprep and found these threads:

if you would like to contact any of the contributors, i can give you their email addy .. if it is hidden.

lemme know if any of these help.
