I have a boot cd that ive aquired from a previous employee. The CD contains the first part of a ghost image, ghost.exe, and the classic bootcat.bin and bootimg.bin files.

Is there a way to view/explore the .bin files? I've tried things like isobuster, winimage, winiso. None of them seem to be able to recognize the .bin.

Thanks.

Maybe this will help:

What do i need to open *.BIN files

You don't have to *subscribe*--just scroll down past the advertisements--and don't click on the *View Solution* circle button--it will take to the *you have to subscribe* to see the answer page!

No question is stupid...but, possibly the answers are  Wink !

I'm already a member. I figured out how to open them. It seems if I just file>open with programs like winimage it doesn't work. But if I right click and do an Open With... it works just fine.

My goal here is to put the image on CDs configure the first boot disk so that all the user has to do is boot from the CD and bam it starts imaging the PC. I have an image set of CD's from an old colleague of mine that does this, but I need to put the new image on there. Not having very good luck.

The autoexec.bat is as follows:
@echo off
MSCDEX.EXE /D:mscd001 /l:d
Echo.
d:\ghost.exe -clone,mode=load,src=d:\270.GHO,dst=1 -auto -sure -rb

Easy enough right? I would think all I had to do was change the name of the image there and I'm good to go. For some reason when I make the copy of it she just doesn't want to cooperate.

This is the config.sys just for good measure.
device=himem.sys /testmem:off
files=10
buffers=10
dos=high,umb
stacks=9,256
lastdrive=z
device=oakcdrom.sys /D:mscd001
device=btdosm.sys
device=flashpt.sys
device=btcdrom.sys /D:mscd001
device=aspi2dos.sys
device=aspi8dos.sys
device=aspi4dos.sys
device=aspi8u2.sys
device=aspicd.sys /D:mscd001
