"If": HD failure or partiton corruption
Apr 28th, 2006 at 12:34am

I was doing experiment.
Using Ghost 2002 floppy:

1)In the case of a drive failure or 2)partition coruption:
How do I restore a Ghost image of my OS partition (which would be "C")?
1)Does this work only if you have the same exact brand
and size drive? 2)Do I have to know the exact size of the partion.
image was taken from? Can its size be exactly replicated?

I experimented with Acronis 9 (a trial that is fully functional) and it will take an image (say that came from a 15 gb partition)and size it to fit whatever partition(in this case a 40 gb partition) in the restoration which was successful.

If you could direct me on where to find this info?

Thanks
