Firefox and bookmarks

Does anyone know how to make the default location of the Firefox bookmarks.html on a non C: partition?
When I restore a C: drive image it's the one file I have to make sure is backed up outside of the C: drive otherwise you will lose your recent bookmarks.

From
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/tips
:
Add the following code to your user.js file:
// Specify which bookmarks file to use:
user_pref("browser.bookmarks.file", "C:\\Path To Netscape Profile\\bookmarks.html");
Remember to use two backslashes for the path separators if you're using Windows, e.g. C:\\Path\\bookmarks.html instead of C:\Path\bookmarks.html.
This tip can also be used on dual-boot systems to use the same bookmarks on both operating systems. Just make sure that you place the file on a location that you have write access to from operating systems.
--------------
You should be able to change the path to any drive.

MrMagoo,
Thanks, but I don't have a user.js in my C drive. Only a prefs.js but I doubt it's the one you indicated. I had a good look at your web link and couldn't find an alternative answer. Moving IE favorites is a breeze. Not so with Firefox.

See here:
Editing Configuration Files
Quote:
user.js
This is the main preferences file for Firefox and is located in you profile folder. The file
does not exist
by default, so you need to create it before you can start adding your preferences.

Christer,
I had looked at your page,
http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=49222
but the instructions seemed to apply to a new install of Firefox. Correct?
