Well, darn--I was so hopeful! I compared the files and there were a couple minor differences--but the same failure occurred--here's the lines that suggest things didn't go right:
During boot it first loads the *Linksys LNE100TX v5 Packet Driver v1.10 (010403), then states:
Performing Automatic Media Detection...
Switching to AutoNegoitation
Not Complete
...
My Options
Packet Driver Interrupt Number 0x60
I/O Port 0xD000
Hardware Interrupt Number 10
Medium Type is 100baseTx Full Duplex
My Ethernet Address is FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF
Packet Driver is loaded at segment 1163
I notice that the IRQ is 11 when in WinXP--I will have to re-boot and check to see what the BIOS says during boot! Is there a parameter or switch to specify what IRQ is used in DOS during boot?
