Ghost 10 error
Dec 2nd, 2006 at 7:15am

Hi guys
I recently installed Norton ghost 10, but when i go to Define new backup, i get a error saying Cannot determine protection.

Then again, if i go to define a new custom backup, i get the following error.

Info 6C8F1C25: Cannot rescan disks.

--Cannot successfully reconcile changes since last session.
---Cannot enumerate the current drives on this system.
----Cannot initialize the Storage Management Engine.
-----Error EC8F1C25: CHECK failed, Epbr::GetEpbrEntry: .\Epbr.cpp(175): mEpbrIndex < 2.

It cant even find my C and D drive,

Any solutions?

I am using a trial version btw, planning to register it soon, but getting these problems..

Danielk,

Have you tried chkdsk /f /r on the C: drive?

Try changing DEP. Try the one you aren't using.

Quote:
To modify the DEP policy in Windows

   1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Control Panel.
   2. Double-click System.
   3. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
   4. On the Data Execution Prevention tab, check Turn on DEP for    all programs and services except those I select.
   5. Click OK to save the change.

A mystery I'm afraid.
