Norton Ghost Newbie needs help :)
Feb 23rd, 2007 at 3:37am

Hallo to everybody + thanks in advance!!

I have a PC with 1 Hard disk (80G), which includes 2 Partitions:
C: 20 (12GB free).
E: 60 (40GB free).

In each one of them windows 2000 in installed (Dual Boot).

I want to create an image of each one of the 2 OS and be able to restore it to another PC with a complete different hardware configuration. My PC is a desktop and i  am going to sell it because i move to another country. So i want to create the images in DVDs and then when i buy a new PC to be able to restore them there.

So the following questions arise:
1. Is it possible at all with norton ghost 10?
2. If it is possible and if the new PC has a total hard disk of 30 GB can I restore my old partition sceme considering only the "used capacity=8+20=28GB" of the old hard disk?

Thanks a lot!! Smiley

Sidatra7, the chance of success is low.
