	Satellite Internet Access? May 23^rd, 2007 at 8:47am To all Does anyone have experience with satellite internet service--what kind of speeds are available? reliability? other thoughts?

Hey NightOwl, I've been moving so have not had time to respond.
I used Direcway for several years a couple years ago and my Mom and Stepdad are using it at home now. It is much better than dialup, though the upload speed is as slow as dialup. If its your only high speed option and you can afford the higher price its great. It can drop out in bad weather, but no worse than satallite TV. The newer system is better than what I had, my modem was USB, now it's ethernet and can connect to a router for easier sharing.
It's not bad if it's all you can get.

If anything can go wrong, it already did, and you just now noticed it.
