Norton Ghost 2003 Image to CDR
May 24th, 2007 at 7:35pm

When writing Hard Drive image backup to CDR an error occurs on the second or third disc. Have gone through 7 CD's so far! I was using ghost.exe from the installed Norton Systemworks 2003 (Norton Ghost -Ghost Basic - Backup) but I also have a floppy Ghost boot up disc which I have used to verify the first disc before the error kicked in on the second disc. Any suggestions?
(Pentium 3 600 mhz, Windows 98SE, 256 mb RAM, 80GB HD) 7.6GB on HD used.

Ghost 2003 questions belong in this forum.

Is you optical drive on the list of drives certified to work okay:

Norton Ghost 2003 compatibility with CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD drives

Is your build of Ghost 2003 the most up to date one:

There may be a solution to LiveUpdate not allowing for updating older Ghost 2003 builds to the most recent build of *793*:

Norton Ghost 2003 Update

LiveUpdate for Ghost 2003
--It's available through a special process!

How to obtain the programs updates that are archived on Symantec LiveUpdate server

Possibly try a different brand of blank disc--better quality usually give best results!
