Norton Ghost issues

Good Morning,
We are using Norton Ghost coupled with ZENowrks to image our systems. Norton has worked well numerous times on both our desktops and laptops.
However I have encountered a problem. I am trying to create an image of one of our laptops and the imaging process keeps stalling out at the System Volume Information point. I have full rights to the System Volume on this laptop so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Just last week I imaged an identical laptop with no problems at all.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? I have posted this same question on a Novell (ZENworks) forum and the moderator seems to think that it is a problem with Ghost and not ZENworks.
Thanks in advance

What version of Ghost are you using?
I have heard of some backup problems when there are bad sectors on the hard drive volume. Just to rule that possibility out,
chkdsk c: /r (substitute correct volume for c:
It may take awhile to reboot and verify all sectors.

Hi John,
Thanks for responding back. I already did both of Windows disk checks as well as the sfc /scannow check. I am running a complete scan using Panda Active Scan right now as I write this.
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks

Did you use the /r switch? (not the /f). The /r switch is the one that reads and verifies each sector.
What version of Ghost are you using?

Hi John,
I didn't use the command prompt. I ran the disk checking utilities through the Windows way > right click C: drive > properties > tools > error checking.
Also, I made a huge mistake in my original post. We use ZENworks for imaging and save the images to the O:Ghost network drive.

That's ok. I looked up zenworks and it is part of Novell. Most all of the users here are Symantec's Norton Ghost software users. So, sorry I can't be of more help.
But if you decide to try Norton Ghost, come on back!
