Dynamic disk formatting - need help
Dec 29th, 2009 at 12:48pm

I recently purchased a one terabyte HD, hooked it up and tried to format it in Win XP's disk management.   I never got any options as to how I wanted to format the HD.  I wanted to create 2 500 GB NTFS partitions but instead I got a 1000 GB "dynamic" partition.

How do I get the HD into "basic" mode so I can create and manage my partitions?

I have no experience with dynamic disks.

After a little research I found out from MS help what I needed to do.

Problem solved...
