With a single image restore you have separate options to replace the MBR (Track 0), but it only replaces the Bootstrap Code.

It also restores LBA-1 to LBA-62 but for most people these sectors contain nothing of value.

I've no experience with infected partition tables. If you wiped the MBR before restoring the images your scenario would be sound.
