In fact, the first page of
Autobiography of a Yogi
(1946),
which
Yogananda wrote here in Encinitas,
contains this verse of scripture:
Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
John 4:48
I don't know much about the Hindu religion,
except it originated in India, has many gods,
and is the oldest of the major world religions.
