This is a decent shot of
the cables - but they still feel a little steeper in person. See that part about
2/3rd the way up? That's the steepest part. The cables are 900-ft long with
~60-degree incline. When you're on them, they feel nearly vertical. A simple
slip -> bye-bye. You hold the cables with a white-knuckled grip.
There's a
pile of gloves at the bottom, left there by God-knows-who. I always bring my own
gloves, but others say it's interesting to imagine who has worn the gloves
before you - where were they from? Were they as scared as you are?
