Lani, me & pile of rocks. Not sure what spiritual significance the rocks have, but they look cool. Sometimes people tie Tibetan prayer flags to rocks at the top of Half Dome - easy to get God's attention way up here. =) 

Signs posted below the cables warn climbers of lightning storms, which have been known to blow in, out of clear blue sky, dump hail & toss bolts at Half Dome. Signs instruct you to sit on a pack (if you have one), but not at the very top. Stay away from cables. Signs say in bolt print: Lightning has struck Half Dome at least once each month this year

I check both way before going up the cables. =)
