that looks to me like the same card (thankyou)and myapologies for any confusion.. that was about the "widespread-misunderstanding" regarding use of a scsi disk with xp and,generally..." writecaching after w2k-sp3" XP, is not included in the patch that works on 2k..I am not for sure if that explains anything., or not, but /and as I said , however, my underlying motive is fidelity, not levity, despite any resemlblences to poor attempts at levity/humor.... I got my answers, so i aint' diggin on this matter any longer.. thank you
the following link educated me on at least two major points of considerablegravity regarding the quality of my produced sound/s(I need xp pro, for dynamic disk enablement for audio!st is all answered, except any residual comments which I welcome entirely
I am now trying to determine the cheapest upgrade path I should follow.... It seems that those dynamic disks are a non xp-home item...
And about the scsi/xp"problem..again... the link I secured from a specialist at Tweak xp, to "CPU" something.. is VERY informative... as in, the more I take time to get this knowledge ingested.. and/or understood...... the more wise I have become... quite painlessly.. I'll add.
Mostly i realized "XP Professional" is my major need for today
I learned that the "Problem or bug" with xp and scsi, these are incorrect terminologies.. for whatever that decides.. Essentially, w2k sp3 owners have a workaround, server2003 already is "fixed", and folks like me with xp home,and who think this "iota" of resource/value,might somehow could be "felt" .. well we must hold on as things are now,so our writecaching to disk will have to remain under a performance "HIT",and it must get fixed when the sp2 finally arrives.............allegedly, then the sp2 patch will fix this NON-problem with xp & scsi disks..

I am getting several bios's at boot... (1) My original Asus one, I have the option for del=setup;
(2)I can hit "tab" =config page for (something which is already functioning)
(3)thirdly there's the option of "cntrl-I"=for configuring my "scsi card "( I think this is correct)
anyway at one of these pages, I am shown LSI Symbios-something, and there is shown anLSI entry, my scsi disk (fujitsu)
and another entry, identical to the first ...
I don't exactly know why I've stopped at three, there certainly are more than this..... but anyway....if i can give an accurate description of what I witness, surely it is my best hope for your understanding a way to give any advise for me
Undoubtedly I am hoping to ultimately "undeploy" any redundant boot-time messages I can discover how to safely and not permanently disable .
I do not know what to make of it, but I have a pair of identical LSI entries, each of which has some role in things as they are now configured.... I honestly have not detected whether the two links show different or the same LSI card.. i was hoping to find a price similar to the 50$ one I am familiar with , but no teddy bear. anybody? I mean I believe they are but i can't tell. there is some perceived different specifications that is readable.... on your link, I was able to click and was shown a dual channel unit, stated as such, but the one your link initially shows is definitely single channel, i see.
Yes i am nearsighted. no I am not stupid yes i am human.
thanks for all consideration/s

is there a problem? are you experiencing poor disk performance? have to benchmarked your disks? i'm not sure what you're getting at. you could also take a screen shot and post a link.

press print-screen' button and paste screen-shot into graphics program of your choice to create a *.gif or *.jpg file (whichever is smaller).
upload file to web server and post link here.
