Ghost4Me

I received the USB2 Big Disk from LaCie (500GB) and it appears to be backing up properly using NG10.  I noticed that it specified 2 hours backup instead of the previous 6 hours on the Ethernet Mini NAS. That is very welcome.

I almost had a small heart attack when I noticed that My Computer reported the FS as NTFS. I looked in the manual and sure enough, it was formatted NTFS. Other funny thing is that the file sizes are 4GB. Funnier and funnier.

If this goes through properly it still doesn't answer why I would have been able to backup using USB2 and not Ethernet. One of the Norton techs said that I couldn't backup to NAS but it still seemed to work up to 90% that I verified. When I get the backup on this 500GB I will try again on the NAS just for grins I think. Since I also have so much room I will backup the Acronis TI on the Big Disk also. Compare NG10 and Acronis for time and file size.

Sounds good.  Be sure and check the "verify" option when creating the Ghost 10 backups.

Was the LaCie NAS backup ever successful after you ran a chkdsk x: /r ?
