Rad,
If the Yahoo bots begin to affect the performance of the server, you should be able to keep them off the forum using your .htaccess file. On the other hand, if they aren't hurting things, maybe what these bots report to Yahoo will help some new users find their way to Radified.

Rad: It's your fault for tweaking your website to make those Ghost 12 forum titles easier for users to find the Radified forum!
Look who's at the top of the Yahoo search results:

Now John, you know those new forum titles were
your
idea.

Totally. Search engine spiders are welcome pests. There are prgms whose sole purpose is to invite spiders to crawl (& index) your site.
Some theories speculate invitations lower a site's rank. But when search engines find your site via links from other sites .. that's (supposedly) the best, and that's always been my strategy. Tho I was following this strategy before learning invitations (requests) might not be good.
Google & Yahoo and the big two.
But these Yahoo bots have been here for *days* now.
One time when I checked, server load was high. All other times .. looking good.
And I've been trace-routing the site periodically. Neotrace installs an icon-button on the IE toolbar. Makes it easy to check.
Right now (3:30), for example, RT is 37ms. That's fast.

I've run across links to the Radified forums for Ghost support on several other user support websites, which I'm sure helps. Even the newsgroup forums. I've even been *guilty* myself of answering a question and then including a link to the Radified forums for more info.
I am surprised (and don't know why) though that there is that peak of traffic. Your comments about a Yahoo bot are a good theory.

We have 120 guests at 7:15 PM Thursday eve.
They are still here. It's like they've moved in. Somebody see if they want dinner.

At 8PM, there are nearly 200 guests. Dang, they've been here nearly a week, now. Seems like they've started inviting their friends.

Still Yahoo?
It'd be great if you saw an increase in ad clicks from this.
