	Ghosting directly to a External Usb DvD burner Sony Ghost 2003 Apr 23^rd, 2008 at 7:42pm I have a Dell laptop that I have connected a Sony 840u DvD burner : external usb. I want to image the laptop directly to the DvD burner and can not do it. Why not and what is the best way for me to image this thing.

the best way is to buy a second internal hard drive (they're pretty cheap these day), and image to that. It will go way faster than to a DVD, especially an external USB DVD. See here:
