I ran a Ghost (10) operation early this morning that completed with errors:

After reading here that deleting the pagefile makes about as much difference as the move from FAST to HIGH compression, I deleted my system's pagefile and ran the copy to file again, this time with compression set to FAST. That time I ended up with abort with errors and a message to contact Symantec.

I then moved all files from the second internal HD to the external HD. I added the paging file again and ran the copy to file again, this time with HIGH compression to the second HD. The 3rd attempt was a charm as it completed with success!

So, what's the deal with trying to backup to an external HD?
