Ghost v11.0 - Help
Jun 22nd, 2010 at 4:51pm

I have a new desktop image for work, that I want to ghost so that I can squirt them down to additional pc's when bought. (ie Same Model).  However when i tried to save the image, ghost wanted to copy all 250gb of the hard drive.

Is there a way of just copying drive that has data on it, without partitioning the drive?

Thanks

I'm not positive that I understand the question--but, if you do a whole drive image, Ghost will say it's copying the size of the drive--whatever that is--but, the image file will only be the size of the actual data present--so if you only have 10 GB of data on a 250 GB drive, the image will be approx. 10 GB.

If you use fast compression, it will probably be about 7-8 GB depending on the type of data being compressed.
