Seal Rock
Crescent Bay Point Park, Laguna Beach

A family of seals and sea lions live out on those rocks. You can hear them barking at sunset.
Kayakers sometimes paddle out for a closer look.

Whales can be seen migrating here.
In December & January, they head south (to your left) to the warm waters of Baja, Mexico, where they birth their calves.
In February & March, they ca be seen return north, to the frozen waters of the Bering Sea, with calves in tow.
The trip is 5,000 miles. Any day you see whales is a magical day.
Dolphins are also a familiar site here. Any day you see dolphins is a special day.
