Ever been away from your computer, and wished you had access to a search engine? Well, now you do .. that is, if you (or a friend) have a cell phone handy. Google offers a free service called SMS (Short Message Service). See here:> Google SMS (still in beta). Simply send your query as a text message to "46645" (GOOGL), and Google will respond by returning between one and three text messages containing the results of your search. (Normal cell charges & rates apply.) ••• continued ••• Gotta admit, it's pretty cool, and convenient. Useful .. for anything you might imagine, such as determining show times, theater locations, weather forecasts, driving directions, currency conversions, stock quotes, etc. I have already programmed the number into my cell, so I'm ready for whatever.
