Does Ghost 2002 allow you to restore NTFS partions (Read 4662 times)

	Does Ghost 2002 allow you to restore NTFS partions Jun 9^th, 2002 at 9:06pm I have read all these messages and other terrific info on this site, but I still am not clear on the following: If I have an image of an NTFS Win XP boot partion, either on cdr's or a FAT 32 hard disk can I restore that partition with Ghost locally? Will I end up with a new FAT32 partition or NTFS?

	Re: Does Ghost 2002 allow you to restore NTFS part Reply #1 - Jun 9^th, 2002 at 10:39pm Read the section titled 'NT File system" at the bottom of this page: http://ghost.radified.com/ghost_caveat.htm Ghost uses the file system of the source .. so if your image came from an NTFS partition, that's what you get when you restore. If you think about it, it will make sense.

But I believe that you can't creat an image on an NTFS partition. At least, that's how I read the manual, so I have a partition which is FAT32 where I store images. Good luck, Dan
